Having driven down from Lincolnshire and been buffeted by strong winds all the way I was looking forward to a decent session at Bigbury. Alas, Bigbury was once again esconced in it's own personal vacuum, I knew I should have stopped by Weston Super Mud.

It was just enough to get out on my big wave kit though (I leave all my race kit up in Lincs for lake sailing). There was enough wind to get planing and get the odd jump on the way out and the waves were reasonable for backside rides on the way in. The sun was shining so all in all it wasn't too bad a day but it was disappointing when I was expecting to be out on a 4.7. Added to that I was sailing like a complete tw*t and dropping almost every tack so only 2 stars.
